BRIDExPRESS
BRIDExPRESS is a subversive, faux-magazine to lure would-be 'Mail-Order Johns' slightly re-educating the misinformed stereotype of Russian Mail-Order Bride culture. It is designed to deter and enlighten the audience as "bride consumers", but has the appropriate content to inform the general public as well. This publication aims to aid in human trafficking awareness, which to re-iterate the definition: ANY individual, taken without will or moral authority, in order to be sold, or psychologically brainwashed and moved across countries for financial gain or sexual pleasure, is the contemporary phenomenon of human trafficking, which DOES include Mail-Order Brides, and the agencies that operate them.
The information here has been cobbled from many underground and well known resources found online, coupled with field research and interview with a former mail-order bride. Her re-telling of a frightening and enlightening experience are used as inspirations for each particular editorial feature, to create a progressively lecture-like "verbal spanking". It is a gentle, but educative reinforcement and mental support. A dark process, but informative at the very least.
